The Japanese government has preliminarily determined that hot-dip galvanized steel (HDG) originating from China and South Korea has entered Japan’s market at unfairly low prices, causing material injury to Japan’s domestic steel industry.

Pursuant to the preliminary ruling, Japan intends to impose provisional anti-dumping duties ranging from 63.95% to 68.67% on relevant Chinese products and 32.49% to 42.69% on goods from South Korea.
